
Spring Tide - a new wave of art in Tooting
We are delighted to extend an invitation to all artists to submit their works that celebrate the essence of spring for our forthcoming group exhibition at MAGAN GALLERY curated by Agnieszka Lokaj and hosted by Gosia Oldakowski-Pacak. This exhibition coincides with Wandsworth being the London Borough of Culture 2025, a year to show how culture can spark joy, making us feel happier, healthier and more connected to each other.
Theme: Spring signifies renewal, connection and joy. This exhibition seeks to illustrate the journey of transformation that occurs during this season, inviting artists to express their interpretations of spring's essence.
Exhibition Dates: 23 May to 7 June 2025.
Private View: 22 May 2025

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Deadlines:
- Submissions close: midnight, 1 May 2025
- Notification of selected artworks: 7 May 2025
- Delivery of selected artwork: 15-17 May 2025, MAGAN GALLERY, 16 Trinity Road, London SW17 7RE.
- Collection of unsold works: 12-14 June 2025.
What to Submit:
This opportunity is open to all visual artists at any stage of their careers. Artwork must be original, created within the last two years, and available for exhibition during the specified dates. We accept a wide range of mediums, including:
- Paintings: Dimensions may reach a maximum of 1 metre in both height and width.
- Photography: Dimensions may reach a maximum of 1 metre in both height and width
- Small Sculptures: Works should not exceed height or depth of 25 cm, width up to 40 cm.
- Ceramics: Pieces are limited to a maximum height or depth of 25 cm, width up to 40 cm.
- Jewellery: Original handcrafted pieces are welcome for submission.
All two-dimensional works submitted must be framed or suitably prepared for display hanging.
Submission Form and Fee
- There is a non-refundable submission fee of £15 per one artwork and £10 for each additional piece.
- When you return your form to us, your submission is only considered completed once the correct payment for your entry has been received.
- Your Application Form must be completed and submitted strictly in accordance with the instructions provided on the form and within these Terms and Conditions. Failure to do so will mean that any work submitted may be inadmissible and will be withdrawn from the selection process for the exhibition.
Spring Tide Exhibition: Selection Process
The artworks for the Spring Tide exhibition will be chosen by the open call selection committee.
Selected artists will be informed on May 7th. Please be advised that if any selected works arrive damaged, have unacceptable framing, differ in size from the original submission, or do not match the online presentation, they will be withdrawn. In such cases, the artist will need to collect their work from The Magan Gallery at their own expense.
The decision of the selection committee is final, and we regret that we are unable to provide feedback on submissions. Thank you for your understanding.
How to Submit:
You’ll receive a PDF form to fill in once the submission fee is processed.
Commission
A commission of 35% will be applied to all sales; please incorporate this into your pricing.
Insurance and Liabilities:
While we will take the utmost care with your artwork, MAGAN GALLERY cannot accept liability for any loss or damage. Artists are encouraged to arrange their own insurance for submitted works during the exhibition.
Sales of Artworks:
Sales will be processed through a secure payment system. Once a sale is confirmed, the artist will receive payment upon receipt of an invoice. Should you sell your work, you are welcome to replace it with another piece of a similar size.
Publicity & Data:
By submitting your work, you authorise MAGAN GALLERY / Agnieszka Lokaj to use images of your artwork for promotional purposes.

MAGAN GALLERY primarily focuses on curating exhibitions that encompass a diverse range of artistic disciplines, showcasing the works of both emerging and established artists from around the globe.
